Yeah it's been a while. But my posts have always been few and far between. Hrmm, quick update, I was in Kuching up till the end of March. Had a lot of fun. Played paintball. BBQ. Got my phone stolen. Yeah it was eventful, but im quite happy to be back in Japan.
Its spring here. Always a good time for new beginnings.

Chapter XXVI - Returning The Smile You Always HadBeen watching a lot of movies lately, mainly to take my mind off the broken bone. I fear I might fall off the deep end if i think about it too much. Is it fall off or fall in? Rhetorical question. Fall off doesn't even make sense.
I initially wanted to write up a review for "Rocket Science", a movie I had seen recently, but decided against it. This, I think, was the correct choice, as the first line of my (now discarded) review went something like "If there was any rocket i would willingly ride..."
Awful, awful choice of words.
So I suck at reviews. Maybe I'll give a few recommendations instead.Here goes:

After kicking off the new year in the best way possible, it took me approx 24hrs to make things even more interesting for myself. I think the expression most frequently used for this is "shooting oneself in the foot", or as I would like to say in my situation, "falling while snowboarding and breaking your collarbone, now I have to wear this really gay clavicle brace that looks like a man bra with no cups".
Srsly. Just try googling clavicle brace.
I've got a feeling 2008 is gonna be a year of a LOT of 'firsts' for me. Just yesterday, I used the disabled toilet for the 1st time. Not because I had to, but the normal cubicles were full. Still, it was a life changing experience. Sitting in there, i can't help but think, disabled people have it so good. Haha, no I'm kidding. I have the utmost respect for disabled people ok, don't get me misunderstood.
Before I lose anymore self respect, I'll end here. Here's a pic of what my x-ray is like. It's not mine, but its similar, except mine was on the right clavicle. They didn't let me keep mine.
Lesson to be learned : Pay your insurance fees on time boys and girls. Do it.
The least they could have done was add cups..pft.
I thought maybe, before the year ends, my blog merits one last entry. Yeah, I'm a sucker for closure.
Random thoughts about this year (And some hopes for the next):
This was not the coming of age year i thought it would be. Not for me at least. If anything, it really put into perspective how much more I still have to grow up.
I miss my family and friends...and Kuching food. Mainly the food.
My spiritual life has been non-existent this year. Fix that Champ, or spend eternity in the fires of hell. *marked as possible new year resolution*
I never used to make resolutions.
Moving is a bitch.
Being with friends and family on Christmas > Snowing on Christmas
Although snow is pretty damn cool.
